You can buy the best portable stage deck in the world, but if you do not have an easy and affordable way to elevate and support it, what good is it? Quik Stage portable stage decks use a strong and affordable leg design manufactured from 1¼" heat treated 6061 aluminum pipe with an outside dimension of 1.666". Each leg comes standard with a 2½" adjustable screw foot that has a 2¼" neoprene pad on the bottom that can be used for fine leveling in the event your floor or ground surface is uneven. The neoprene pad on the bottom of the foot will not scratch or mar any floor surface including a gym floor. Our standard 4 x 8 portable decks use 6 legs per section and decks that are smaller than 4 x 8 require only 4 legs. We can however, add additional legs for extra strength for example, if you were using a 4 x 4 deck for a speaker platform with a heavy load.

We offer 5 different heights of legs that were designed to match up with our standard stair units. Standard stair units have an 8" rise between each step so all of our legs have 8 inch increments between them. We can however, cut any leg to fit your needs like 6" or 12" for example.

For custom applications, you can even use different height legs on one deck. An example would be if you were filling in an area where there was a set of steps in the way, one of the legs could be shorter and sit right on the step. We can cut the custom leg to your desired height or you can simply cut it with a hack or chop saw to fit if you are unsure of the exact height.

Installation of legs in a Quik Stage deck is as simple as sliding it in a corner or side leg socket and turning a thumb screw to the right until it has a snug tight fit. Although you can get a snug fit by hand, we recommend using pliers or a small wrench to give the thumb screw a tighter turn; to make sure the legs are secured tightly. Although highly unlikely, if you are using your stage for extended periods in one location, we recommend checking each leg socket occasionally to make sure that no leg has loosened-up during use.
To remove a leg, just loosen the thumbscrew in each leg socket by hand or wrench and slide the leg out. When the legs are removed from the deck, the deck is only 3¾" thick, so it requires minimal storage space. Legs must be removed if you are using our storage carts.
Legs clamps are used on standard or adjustable legs to keep legs from spreading out at higher elevations. They are also used to connect decks together when you are using multi-height legs, such as a seating riser where decks are at 2 or more levels. They are easy to install in minimal time and are inexpensive to purchase. The two leg clamp is used for two legs side-by-side and also for three legs when three decks meet in a corner. You would just use two separate clamps, one on top of each other for three legs. A four leg clamp is used for four legs and has a spacer in the middle to keep legs from compressing.
Because Quik Stage 4 x 8 decks uses 6 legs, they are more stable that other manufacturers decks that use 4 legs so legs clamps are only recommended for heights of 40 inches. If you are using any of our other smaller decks that use 4 legs at higher elevations, your Quik Stage staging professional will recommend leg clamps per your application.
