Slip Fit and Screw Fit Bases

There are two types of connecting systems to connect your uprights to your bases.Slip Fit and Screw Fit.

Slip Fit - "The Time Saver System". The main advantage of the Slip Fit System is that it can be set-up very quickly, especially when used in conjunction with storage carts. This system uses a special nipple that is attached to the slip fit base. The upright slides quickly and easily over the nipple. Every base is punched with 3 counter sunk holes so that the nipple can be positioned in the center of the base or at either edge. The 16" x 14" base and the 8" x 14" base have a stacking slot allowing the bases to be stagger stacked, to save more storage room. The 24" x 24" base does not have a stacking slot. The slip fit bases are zinc plated silver.

Screw Fit - "The Space Saver System". The screw-in system utilizes a threaded nipple that is riveted into the bottom of the upright. Every base is manufactured with two extruded holes, one in the center of the base and one at the edge. The extruded hole guides the upright into the threaded hole. The second hole is useful when uprights are placed next to a wall. The nipples are attached to the upright with four steel rivets and are designed to be replaced in the field by you with simple hand tools if ever damaged. The screw fit base was designed with dimpled corners that allow the bases to be stacked. If storage space is a problem for you, then consider the screw fit system.
